Please add foreign categories and subtract the foreign transaction fee

Please add categories for foreign transactions and compute the percentage return by subtracting the foreign transaction fee %.
An example of this is if i shop with citi double cash abroad they charge a 2% foreign transaction fee effectively reducing the rewards to 0%. However the capital one quicksilver offers 1.5% on domestic purchases which is lower than citi double cash but on foreign purchases there are no fees so effective reward is still 1.5% on international purchases

Perhaps a toggle between US and international on the best card by category page. Or an option to hide cards with FTF.

Matching foreign transaMerchantction fee can be helpful to identify which card should and should not be used for a given purchase/Merchant.

I travel outside of the US a lot, so it would be helpful to know which card I should use for which category (Dining, Gas, Other) while International vs being in the US. Perhaps a separate tab for “Best Card (Outside US)”

We incorporate FX fees when your location is outside of the US for Best Card To Use Nearby. Are you saying you want this in the Category view?

Anik Khan: Yes it will be very helpful in planning which cards to take on international trips when the categories show up as international and local. In the example I gave above when i look at the category view right now it looks like the citi double cash is the better card with it 2% return but if i take it abroad the fx fees eats up the return. So in the international view the cap one card with no fx fees would show up as the better card for purchases.

Vaibhav + Suresh Kumar: That makes sense. For now, you can change your location to where you are going and see what cards are recommended in the Best Card To Use Nearby.

Anik Khan: Hey Anik, something must not be working as expected as I am still being recommended my Fidelity Rewards Visa (2% cash back) when looking around a foreign city. Such card has 1% foreign transaction fees, bringing the effective cash back bonus to 1%. I also have Capital One's Quicksilver, which is 1.5% cash back without foreign transaction fees. I would expect the app to suggest the latter in those cases.
