When a card's sign-up bonus is earned, Chase includes the bonus points in the rewards for the purchase that completed the spend requirement. MaxRewards shows the same combined total that Chase reports, so a purchase that earned 1x appears to have earned 30x or 40x or more.

Because the bonus is attached to a single purchase, it can skew category-level numbers. One bonus can change the average rate for a whole category, which makes those percentages hard to use for tracking.

Can you show the sign-up bonus as its own line item, separate from the purchase that triggered it? The purchase would show only the points it earned from spending, and the bonus would appear on its own.
